We are looking for highly motivated graduate students, undergraduates, and postdocs. Please email Prof. Hochbaum directly if you are interested.

Graduate Students

The Hochbaum Lab is looking for passionate and creative graduate students with interests in materials chemistry, solid state physics, electrochemistry, and microbiology. We are currently looking for students interested in studying

(1) conductive biomaterials and
(2) mechanisms of chemical communications in bacterial biofilms.

Undergraduates

The Hochbaum Lab seeks curious and inspired undergraduates to perform exciting materials, energy, and biology related research. Undergraduates will have the opportunity to achieve significant research goals and author/co-author papers in a dynamic research environment.

Postdocs

There is a position available for a project studying the effects of natural and synthetic surfactants on bacterial signaling processes. Ideal candidates will have a background in analytical chemistry and microbiology and have or soon obtain their PhD in a relevant field. Interested applicants should send a cover letter describing your research background and interests, along with a CV and contact information for three references.
